Doug heard about World Impact while he was working in his family's farming business in Kingsburg, California.  When he left farming to attend the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, he also volunteered at World Impact as an intern for two years.  After graduating from seminary in 1999, Doug joined staff.  What drew him to World Impact was its cross-cultural ministry and mission to make disciples.

Doug lives in a large apartment complex in Southwest Fresno.  He facilitates children’s and teen ministry there.  His main focus is the training of urban church leaders through the Fresno satellite of The Urban Ministry Institute.  Doug's passion is to share God's Word with everyone and equip others to do the same.
