Doug first heard about World Impact when he was working in his family's farming business in Kingsburg, California. When he left farming to attend the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, he also volunteered at World Impact as an intern for two years. After graduating from seminary in 1999, Doug joined staff as a full-time community minister. What drew him to World Impact was its cross-cultural ministry whose major focus was on making disciples.

Doug lives in the Kingsview Manor & Estates apartment complex in Southwest Fresno. He loves hanging out with his neighbors, playing cards, getting into water fights on hot days, barbequing in his front yard, or doing organized youth and family activities. He seeks to share the Good News of Christ with his neighbors in every way possible.

In addition to reaching out in his own neighborhood, Doug helps with teen ministry, and teaches leaders in our church plant through the Fresno satellite of The Urban Ministry Institute. Doug's passion is to share God's word with anyone and everyone, and to equip others to share God's word as well.
